Delay - Oh no, Gordy is sick!

Woke up this morning to feed the critters, and Gordy was not the 1st one at the dish as he usually is. I searched around and found him passed out upstairs next to a pile of bloody stool. Oh crap! Exactly. I immediately jumped to conclusions and checked to make sure he was breathing. He was, so I carried him downstairs. Have you ever held a 16 pound bag of lumpy, limp pizza dough? That's Gordy exhausted.
We were supposed to leave in an hour. Long story short, Jose ran the sample up to the clinic while I called Jenn who arrived with Mark within mninutes of my call. Thank you!!!! Jenn determined that Gordy was not dehydrated, and he ate a little and drank some water. After some discussion, we decided the trip was still on just delayed by an hour. Thanks much, Allison for looking after Gordito...
(So now I must apologize for the delay in entries to the blog. You're probably wondering where the heck I am but Jose has been updating the GPS link so hopefully you have been able to follow the trip somewhat. So far in our travels, WIFI is either inaccessible or costs.
Now at day 5, we are staying in this unbelievable little cabin in the woods of Big Sur which we got at half price because it was too late for them to fill! Plus - it has WIFI.)
We arrived in Las Vegas at noon - Vegas tiime! Checked into Caesars, saw their Garden of the God pool - we were the only ones in jeans though there should have been many more covered up, if you get my drift. Had a fuzzy, frozen non-alcoholic drink - can already here the pounds packing on.
Our plan was to head to Mandalay Bay, get our tix to Lion King then eat at Border Grill - Jenn's recommendation. Thanks to the PGA conference who had reserved the place for the evening, we ended up settling for Mandalay Bay's buffet (thumbs down). However, the Lion King made up for it - the costumes and singing are amazing. The taxi ride back to Caesar's that left Jose and I clutching at the backs of the front seat! The smoke here is killing us both, and we are looking forward to leavingthe big city of sin.
P.S. Thank you Allison for taking on pilling Gordito who has an intestinal infection. I'm sure he will forgive you in the end...
