First glimpse of the Pacific - Santa Barbara

Reached Santa Barbara around 8:00 and had to find a place to stay. Found a nice place with a patio in front. We didn't stay long enough to enjoy it; from Jose's earlier post, you can see that we have a very ambitious itinerary that we need about a month for. And we're already on Day 3!
Santa Barbara has a nice little harbor, and we found a bar that serves fried clams (no bellies!!! :( But they were mighty tasty.
I am getting sicker by the hour - sinus infection or something like that. Plus, I have not had any coffee all day, and it seems we always spot a Starbucks exit after we've passed it. darn.
No photos of Santa Barbara, but we drove into town the next morning (Friday) to find the Starbucks Jose found on his GPS. It's a nice lttle town and lots of beautiful people.

But, we had to forge onward up PCH1 and found Morro Bay. This is where the pelicans, sea gulls and sea lions live in abundance right outside the myriad fish eateries. There are many "fun police" living among the sea lions who are quite unhappy when a wet seal jumps on top of the pack looking for a spot to dry in the sun. The sound is so loud that it almost sounds like a recording. There were about 15 of them lying on the dock below the fish place we had lunch.
